Clean-up Day in Hart, TX
(by Jayme Flores, 2007 HHS Graduate)

Hart is a great community with a lot of class and open arms for anyone who comes into town. The only small problem we had was that our town was looking a little grungy. So in effort to help out the Hart High School Student Council gave a helping hand in the city wide clean up. Twenty members of the student counil cleaned alley ways and removed tree branches and other items.

The clean up started around 10 a.m. and lasted until 1 p.m. Citizens also helped clean our City Pavillon, where most of our city wide functions are held. After the clean up our city looked much neater and even more welcoming then before.

We are very happy with our clean areas that we now have in our small town. We hope that this city wide clean up will be continued though out the year, holding it every few months. Now our city is ready for the Hart Days Festivals held every year; the last weekend in July. We also hope that those who visit will notice that "Hart is the town that has heart."
